World's youngest professional travels the world!

Local skating rinks hosts 14 year old celebrity athlete.

April 8, 2010 -- With roller skating on the rise, a new type of celebrity athlete has been created to promote healthy, family-friendly activity. Enter Brandon Perea, 14 year old roller skating prodigy and teen sensation who has fused modern break-dance with traditional disco skating to create a popular new form of America's favorite low-cost activity. Brandon, who will soon be performing in Cookeville, Tennessee, travels 40 weeks a year appearing at roller rinks nationwide and performing for sold-out crowds of pre-teens and teens.

Roller skating has seen a major resurgence in recent years due to an increase in media attention and a major boost in image with the help of skaters like Brandon who have demonstrated their skills on popular television shows like NBC's America's Got Talent and MTV's America's Best Dance Crew, and major feature films like ATL and Roll Bounce. Roller skating isn't just a Friday night activity for kids anymore, as big-name roller skate manufacturers have started backing some of the world's best skaters with six-figure salaries and large travel budgets.
